I’ve dug out some photographs of Pete Doherty and Babyshambles from 2004. This was a small last minute gig in a studio in Old Street, quite late one night. It was really squashed, really hot and smelly but it was f’ing brilliant. Though they were shot on a Canon 10d which, wasn’t full frame, I love these photographs dearly.
Managed to pick up a lot of new music recently. Firstly Turisas's Stand Up and Fight album on vinyl, and a number of CDs which I got from Bloodstock: Ten Foot Wizard's Return to the Infinite (which I got from them with a shirt after their set on the Jager stage, which was awesome), Goat Leaf's A Lack of Oxygen and 3 albums by Conquest of Steel, which I was given for free by the band with a patch as it was their last show.
After Bloodstock, I was in France for ten days with the parents and a mate of mine, and managed to steal away to a great record store in the city of Quimper, where I found Mother/Bow to the King by Bang and Dust's self-titled records on LP (2 grails, I had been looking for them for some time) and King Diamond's Fatal Portrait.
All in all, a pretty good haul.
